Boarding School.

That’s right folks- I’m at boarding school in the UK. And do you know what? I actually like it.

That’s not to say there’s not bad parts. There’s plenty of those.

Institutionalised food. I feel a little obese having that as my first point, but it’s a big deal. Food here isn’t great. Actually, it’s not nice at all, but there’s lots of it, and I can’t stop eating.
I miss my parents. I miss my brother. I miss Colv and Tara and Tasha and Shannon and Josh and Ben and Maxxie and Becca and well, everyone. The other day, I heard about Colv saluting the great god Laude (FUCKING LOL.) and, well, I should have been there. Yah boo sucks.
Mismatched bedsheets. Yeah. Girls change all their sheets (pillowcases, bottom sheet, duvet covers and towels) one week, then the next week it’s boys, and I change pillow cases, towels and bottom sheets. This is OK if you have matching sheets, or don’t mind them being mismatched. I have one set with dinosaurs on, and another with fairies. BAD.
Feeling like I share a room with 50 odd chinese people. I have two roommates, one Nigerian who is never there and when she is is alright. The other is Chinese, lovely, but when she’s in the room has every single chinese person in a five mile radius in there with her. For real. And they all eat smelly fish. With chopsticks.
Status. Break a rule, get down-statused. This means they treat you like a little kid, and give you early bedtimes and less rights. Stupid.
NO INTERNET. No jokes. There is wireless, but it’s homehub. ~~WHAT IDIOTIC FASCIST PIG THOUGHT OF SUCH TORTURE?!~~ Seventy-eight boarders plus fifteen people max internet equals Charlie with no connection and withdrawal symptoms. NO FUN. The school internet blocks everything, Tumblr is my onloy contact with the outside world. (Tara, when you read this, call me.)

But it’s not that bad. Really. I feel like a well rounded person. pebble.

And I’ve learnt to sleep with the light on.
